Recent Israeli media reports have unveiled highly concerning information regarding the health status of a number of hostages held in the Gaza Strip. According to Israel's Channel 12, current assessments indicate that at least one or two hostages are in a critical medical state, with their health conditions posing a direct and real threat to their lives.

The channel stated that "Israel is aware that the survivors in Gaza receive little food and are in a difficult situation, but the current assessment indicates a more difficult situation for one or more of the abductees." This information heightens growing fears about the hostages' fate, especially after videos emerged about three weeks ago from inside the tunnels showing captives Avitar Dud and Rom Breslavsky in extremely poor health.
Adding to the gravity of the situation, the intelligence website "Intelli Times" confirmed that there is a real danger threatening the lives of at least two captives in Gaza, lending weight to the media reports and highlighting the scale of the humanitarian crisis facing the hostages.
On the political front, former US President Donald Trump sparked widespread controversy in Israel with his recent statements about the number of living hostages held by Hamas. During a press conference at the White House, Trump claimed that the number of hostages still alive with Hamas is "likely" less than 20, out of the 50 initially held by the movement.
Trump added that "two other hostages may have lost their lives" in Gaza and that, according to him, "the movement is now only offering 10 hostages for any deal." He also said that he anticipated Hamas would start refusing deals when the number dropped to 20 hostages.
However, an official Israeli response to Trump's statements came from retired military hostage coordinator Gal Hirsch, who directly denied that Israel has any information indicating the death of more hostages at the hands of Hamas. This refutation places Trump's remarks in question and highlights the divergence in information between the allies.
