In a related development, the newspaper "Israel Hayom" stated that the prominent leader of the movement, Khaled Meshaal, was not present at the targeted meeting, confirming that he "was not neutralized."

The Israeli army had officially announced the details of the strike, confirming that it targeted Hamas leaders in Doha, including Khalil al-Hayya, head of the movement in Gaza. Israel's army radio reported that the attack was carried out "with precise guidance" in a joint operation between the army and the "Shin Bet" using the air force.

According to the Israeli statement, the targeted leaders "bear direct responsibility for the October 7 massacre and for managing the war against Israel."

For its part, Qatar, which serves as a key mediator between Hamas and Israel, condemned the Israeli attack, calling it a "cowardly" act and a "blatant violation of international law." In an official statement, it affirmed that this "criminal assault constitutes a grave threat to the security and safety of Qataris and residents in Qatar."

The statement added that Qatari security and civil defense authorities immediately responded to the incident and took necessary measures to ensure the safety of residents and surrounding areas.
