On Monday, February 16, 2026, the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a stern condemnation of the Israeli Cabinet’s decision to designate occupied West Bank lands as "state property." The Kingdom characterized the move as a strategic plot to impose a new legal and administrative reality, aimed at consolidating occupation and dismantling the prospects for regional peace and stability.

The Saudi statement emphasized that "Israel has no sovereignty over occupied Palestinian territories." Riyadh described the decision as a grave violation of international law and a direct assault on the Palestinian people's inherent right to establish an independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital. The Kingdom warned that such unilateral measures effectively undermine the "two-state solution," calling for international intervention to halt these illegal settlement expansions.
