Russia Claims Capture of New Donetsk Settlement and Continues Mopping-Up Operations in Myrnohrad

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced on Thursday that its southern military group has seized control of the village of Svyato-Pokrovskoe in the Donetsk region. According to the daily briefing, Russian forces are also continuing "mopping-up operations" in the city of Myrnohrad (Dymytrov) while thwarting Ukrainian counter-attacks near the village of Hryshyne.

The report detailed large-scale strikes against Ukrainian infrastructure, targeting military airfields, seaports, energy sites, and drone production facilities across 142 areas. Moscow estimated Ukrainian personnel losses at approximately 1,445 troops over the past 24 hours. Additionally, Russian air defenses reportedly intercepted a HIMARS projectile and destroyed 472 Ukrainian drones.
