Saudi-Turkish Summit in Riyadh: A United Front Against Gaza Occupation and a Firm Rejection of Partition in Yemen and Sudan

At the conclusion of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's visit to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and Turkey issued a landmark joint statement following talks with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Both nations demanded a complete Israeli withdrawal from Gaza and a lasting ceasefire, while formally joining the "Peace Council" to support the U.S.-backed civilian administration of the strip.

Regarding Yemen, the two powers emphasized the country's unity and sovereignty, explicitly rejecting any attempts at partition or the empowerment of internal entities to destabilize the state. Similarly, on Sudan, Riyadh and Ankara voiced support for a unified government, rejecting "parallel entities" and foreign arms flows, while calling for a civilian-led political process. The summit also signaled a boost in defense and energy cooperation, with the Crown Prince accepting an invitation to visit Turkey in the near future.
