Security Incident in Dubai: Two Drones Crash Near International Airport, 4 Injured

The Dubai Government Media Office confirmed on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, that two drones crashed in the vicinity of Dubai International Airport (DXB). Relevant authorities reported that the incident caused several injuries among individuals in the area, occurring amidst a period of heightened regional tensions and widespread Iranian drone and missile activity across the Gulf.

Casualties and Nationalities Reported According to the official statement, the crash resulted in minor injuries to two Ghanaian nationals and one Bangladeshi national. A fourth individual, an Indian national, sustained moderate injuries. All injured parties have been transported for medical treatment. Security and technical teams have launched an immediate investigation to determine the origin of the drones and the circumstances of their downing near one of the world’s busiest aviation hubs.


Aviation Operations Remain Unaffected Despite the incident, Dubai authorities reassured the public and international airlines that flight operations at Dubai International Airport continue to function normally without disruption. This event coincides with Tehran’s announcement of its largest aerial offensive since the war began, forcing UAE air defense units and critical infrastructure security into high alert to maintain the safety of national airspace and vital installations.
