The German city of Heidelberg witnessed an unusual security incident that mobilized police patrols, only for it to be revealed that what was believed to be a "break-in" was merely a desperate attempt by a child to get back into his home.

The incident began when a vigilant woman reported observing someone attempting to enter a residential apartment suspiciously. According to a statement issued by the Heidelberg Police on Sunday, the woman saw a 12-year-old boy climbing and attempting to gain entry through a partially open ground-floor window.
