The official Chinese news agency Xinhua published the details of the statement, which confirmed that member states expressed their "deep concern" about the escalation of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and urged for a lasting truce.

Furthermore, the SCO delivered a decisive condemnation of the attacks carried out by Israel and the United States on Iran in June 2025. The statement said that these attacks targeted civilian nuclear infrastructure, caused casualties, and constituted a violation of international law and the principles of the UN Charter.

Founded in 2001, the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation consists of ten member states: China, Russia, India, Pakistan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Belarus.
