On Sunday, April 19, 2026, the Egyptian government launched a massive development offensive in Sinai, signaling that the peninsula is a "Red Line" for national security. Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly’s tour highlighted a strategic shift from military operations to "Development Warfare," featuring new airports, ports, and a railway network designed to integrate Sinai into the mainland. The plan aims to attract millions of Egyptians to relocate to Sinai, effectively neutralizing any external schemes for Palestinian displacement.

Local officials confirmed that "New Rafah City" and other residential hubs are strictly for Egyptians, serving as a demographic shield.
