Sisi stresses to Araghchi the need to intensify efforts to cease fire in Gaza

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi stressed during his meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on Thursday the need to stop the escalation to avoid a comprehensive regional war.

Sisi warned that a regional war could have “dire consequences for the security and capabilities of the countries of the region.”
Sisi also stressed to Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi the need to intensify efforts to cease fire in Gaza and Lebanon, stop violations and attacks in the West Bank, and provide urgent and sufficient humanitarian aid to end the increasing suffering of civilians.
Egyptian presidential spokesman Ahmed Fahmy said that the meeting focused on reviewing the situation in the region.
President Sisi stressed the need not to escalate the conflict, and stressed the need to stop the escalation to prevent it from sliding into a comprehensive regional war.
For his part, the Iranian Foreign Minister expressed his appreciation for Egypt’s continuous efforts to achieve regional stability and security, praising Egypt’s role in this regard at all levels.
