On the eve of the 47th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution, residents across Tehran took to their balconies on Tuesday night to chant defiant slogans, including "Death to the Dictator" and "Death to Khamenei." These protests occurred simultaneously with official firework displays marking the February 11 (22 Bahman) celebrations. The scenes, captured in viral videos, highlight a persistent spirit of resistance following the unprecedented and violent crackdown on January’s nationwide protests.

The Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA) reports a devastating toll from the recent unrest, confirming at least 6,984 deaths and over 52,623 arrests. While the government prepares for mass pro-regime rallies to project unity—especially amid heightened tensions with the U.S.—the nocturnal chants serve as a stark reminder of the underlying instability. Despite a partial restoration of the internet after a month-long blackout, the "Slogan War" demonstrates that the movement, sparked initially by the rial's collapse, remains alive despite the heavy security presence.
