Strategic Alliances for Regional Peace: Renewed U.S. Support for Egypt Under Sisi

In a remarkable political meeting in Sharm El-Sheikh, U.S. President Donald Trump reaffirmed the historical and strategic partnership between the United States and Egypt under President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, whom he described as a "strong leader" and a pivotal figure in regional stability. Trump stressed that America will always stand with Sisi, highlighting Egypt’s vital and essential role in brokering the Gaza agreement, and expressed optimism that the coming period will see significant progress toward peace in the Middle East.

Trump added that Gaza is in urgent need of restoration and clearing due to the massive destruction, announcing his desire for Sisi to join a new "Peace Council" overseeing Gaza reconstruction efforts. He also announced the commencement of the second phase of the Gaza agreement, expecting tangible steps to advance security and real progress in the region.


For his part, Sisi emphasized that Trump is the most capable figure to achieve peace in the region, praising his significant efforts in reaching the Gaza agreement. He also underscored the necessity of maintaining the ceasefire, allowing humanitarian aid, and ensuring the return of Israeli hostage remains to their families.


Amid these developments, Trump pointed to Iran’s willingness to strike a deal and seek assistance, signaling the importance of international cooperation to address crises in the Middle East and promote dialogue and peace. The priority remains supporting successful steps toward regional stability and protecting the interests of all parties, in an atmosphere of anticipation and international partnership.
