  • Transition to Political Track: The RSF looks forward to the immediate implementation of the agreement and the direct commencement of discussions on cessation of hostilities arrangements and the fundamental principles governing the political track in Sudan.

  • Ultimate Goal: The goal is to address the root causes of the wars and create an environment for a "just, comprehensive, and lasting peace."

  • Gratitude to the Quartet: The RSF expressed deep gratitude for the "sincere and intensive efforts" exerted by the Quartet countries, led by the United States.

  • Escalating Conflict: This announcement comes amidst an unprecedented escalation in the armed conflict that erupted over two years ago between the Army and the RSF.

  • Army's Stance: While the US continues its attempts to impose a truce, the Sudanese Army remains committed to its stance based on a military decisive resolution.
