Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Esmaeil Baghaei, harshly criticized U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee for his recent comments endorsing a "Biblical right" for Israel to control vast territories across the Middle East. In an interview with Tucker Carlson, Huckabee suggested it would be "acceptable" for Israel to claim lands stretching from the Nile to the Euphrates, calling it territory given by God to a "chosen people."

Tehran described these remarks as "extremist ideological rhetoric" and proof of active U.S. complicity in what it termed Israeli "expansionist wars and genocide." The diplomatic firestorm was further fueled by Carlson’s claims of "strange treatment" at Ben Gurion Airport, adding a layer of personal friction to a visit that has deeply unsettled regional capitals and challenged long-standing international norms regarding sovereign borders.
