The landmark March 10th agreement between Syrian President Ahmed Al-Sharaa and SDF Commander Mazloum Abdi faces a critical threat. Sihanouk Dibo, an official in the Autonomous Administration, warned that the ongoing tensions in Aleppo’s Sheikh Maqsoud district could jeopardize the integration roadmap. While Washington is actively pushing for a sustainable de-escalation, the situation remains fragile following deadly skirmishes.

Health authorities in Aleppo confirmed 4 civilian deaths due to shelling, prompting families to flee Sheikh Maqsoud, Al-Ashrafieh, and Al-Layramoun. Damascus accused the SDF of initiating a surprise assault on army checkpoints near the Shihan roundabout, while the SDF framed its actions as a response to pro-government attacks. This military friction follows remarks by Foreign Minister Assad Al-Shaibani, who noted a lack of "serious initiatives" from the SDF to implement the integration of civil and military institutions into the state framework by year-end.
