"The Final Act": Trump Pushes for Swift End to Iran War as White House Warns of "Gates of Hell"

The Wall Street Journal reported on March 26, 2026, that President Donald Trump has informed aides of his desire to conclude the war with Iran within weeks. Aiming for a resolution before a scheduled mid-May summit with China’s Xi Jinping, Trump is balancing military pressure with a diplomatic "off-ramp." While the president remains reluctant to commit massive ground forces due to casualty concerns—with 13 U.S. deaths and nearly 300 injuries reported—he has reportedly discussed securing U.S. access to Iranian oil as part of a final deal.

"وقت الحسم".. ترامب يضغط لإنهاء حرب إيران خلال أسابيع، والبيت الأبيض يلوح بـ "أبواب الجحيم"

Diplomacy Under Fire: White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed that a 15-point peace plan has been delivered to Tehran via Pakistan. The plan reportedly demands zero nuclear capability, the cessation of proxy funding, and guaranteed maritime safety in the Strait of Hormuz. Leavitt emphasized that Trump "does not bluff" and is prepared to "unleash hell" if Iran fails to accept its military defeat. Conversely, Iranian FM Abbas Araqchi maintains that Tehran is only "reviewing proposals" through intermediaries and refuses direct talks, calling past U.S. promises a "betrayal".
