The Ministry of Defense of the United Arab Emirates announced on Sunday, May 10, 2026, that its advanced air defense systems successfully neutralized two Iranian drones targeting the nation's territory. In an official statement published on platform "X," the ministry reaffirmed its unwavering readiness to confront any threats to national security, emphasizing that no injuries or fatalities were recorded in this latest incursion.

A Record of Deterrence: By the Numbers Reflecting on the scale of the ongoing aggression, the Ministry released staggering data regarding the interceptions carried out by the UAE Air Defense since the start of hostilities:
551 Ballistic Missiles neutralized.
29 Cruise Missiles intercepted.
2,265 Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs/Drones) destroyed.
Humanitarian Impact and Victim Demographics The conflict has exacted a human toll despite the high interception rate. The total number of martyrs includes two UAE nationals and one Moroccan civilian contractor working with the Armed Forces. Additionally, 10 civilians of various nationalities (Pakistani, Nepalese, Bangladeshi, Palestinian, Indian, and Egyptian) have lost their lives. The total number of injuries stands at 230, involving a diverse group of nationalities including residents from the UAE, Egypt, Sudan, Ethiopia, Philippines, Pakistan, Iran, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Azerbaijan, Yemen, Uganda, Eritrea, Lebanon, Afghanistan, Bahrain, Comoros, Turkey, Iraq, Nepal, Nigeria, Oman, Jordan, Palestine, Ghana, Indonesia, Sweden, Tunisia, Morocco, and Russia.
