The Israeli army announced in a statement today, Friday, the call-up of an additional reserve brigade to carry out operations on the northern front.

Israeli army spokesman Avichay Adlai explained on the 'X' platform that 'based on our assessment of the situation, we decided to call up another reserve brigade to carry out operational missions on the northern front.'
Spokesman Adlai added that calling up the brigade "will allow us to continue our combat efforts against the terrorist Hezbollah and achieve our war goals, including the return of the residents of the north."
Earlier on Friday, the Israeli army announced that the Israeli Air Force carried out airstrikes on approximately 150 targets deep inside Gaza and Lebanon, where the raids attacked fighters, ammunition depots, firing shelters, snipers and observation posts.
The army also confirmed that it assassinated the Hezbollah commander in the Taybeh area, Muhammad Hussein Rammal, and that forces from the combat division in the Seventh Brigade found a launch pad ready to fire on a northern town and destroyed it.
Hezbollah announced on Thursday the start of a “new phase of escalation” in the conflict with Israel, confirming for the first time the use of “precision missiles” to target Israeli forces in southern Lebanon and on the Jewish state’s northern border. The Iran-backed group said in a statement that Israeli losses monitored by its members since the start of ground clashes in Lebanon on October 1 amounted to about 55 dead and more than 500 officers and soldiers wounded.
