Mohamed Shabana, the nephew of the Dark Nightingale and the sole heir of Abdel Halim Hafez, gave the "Golden Nightingale Microphone" to a young singer named Mahmoud Rateb, who claimed that his singing voice resembles that of his uncle, the Nightingale, which angered fans on social media.

The young singer Mahmoud Rateb revealed in a statement to Al Arabiya.net and Al Hadath.net, the details of obtaining the late artist's golden microphone after it was given to him by Mohamed Shabana, the Nightingale's nephew and sole heir. Rateb issued one of his religious supplications "So I Repent", and confirmed that Mohamed Shabana was greatly affected by the supplication when he heard it and presented it with a feeling similar to that of the Dark Nightingale.
He added that Shabana compared his singing style to his uncle's singing style, so he expressed his love and conviction in his voice by giving him the famous golden microphone that the Nightingale appeared with in many famous concerts.
Abdel Halim Hafez fans are angry.
Mohamed Shabana's behavior caused great anger among the fans of the Nightingale, who rejected the matter completely, and stressed that no one should get anything from the late and distinguished artist's belongings.
At the same time, a source revealed another aspect of the reason why Mohamed Shabana gave his uncle a golden microphone to the young artist.
"He got a lot of attention."
The source admitted that the young artist Mahmoud Rateb is the brother of Mohamed Shabana's wife, and that he is the one who produced his songs and held a big party to showcase his talent a year ago.
The source added that he gave the golden microphone to "Rateb" not because Shabana believes in his talent strongly, but as a kind of support to draw attention to the new singer who is originally his brother-in-law.
Mahmoud Rateb's works
It is worth noting that Rateb has only two works: the first is titled "Kol El Oyoun" and the second is "Qalbat Gad".
