Aerial Defense Success: Thwarting the Iranian Offensive On the military front, the UAE Ministry of Defense reported that its air defense systems successfully intercepted a massive barrage on Monday. The intercepted threats included 12 ballistic missiles, 3 cruise missiles, and 4 suicide drones launched from Iran. While the attack resulted in 3 moderate injuries, the defense systems prevented a catastrophic civilian impact. Since the onset of Iranian hostilities, the UAE has effectively neutralized a staggering total of 549 ballistic missiles, 29 cruise missiles, and 2,260 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), according to official data from the Emirates News Agency (WAM).

Violation of International Norms The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the strikes as a "dangerous escalation" and a direct violation of international law and the UN Charter. The Saudi Foreign Ministry echoed this sentiment, denouncing the targeting of civilian infrastructure and a UAE-owned tanker. This renewed Saudi-Emirati coordination underscores a unified front against regional instability, as both nations work together to safeguard global energy corridors and maritime safety in the Arabian Peninsula.
