In an exclusive interview with CNN, former U.S. President Donald Trump discussed the developments in the ongoing ceasefire negotiations held in Egypt between Israel and Hamas. He confirmed that Hamas has made important concessions deemed highly significant. These talks, attended by mediators from the United States, Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey, aim to end the protracted conflict in the Gaza Strip.

Trump stated during a conversation with CNN’s correspondent at the White House that Hamas agreed to key points in the proposed ceasefire plan, expressing optimism about reaching a comprehensive agreement that would end decades of violence in the region. The United States has set red lines in the negotiations, including demands for disarmament, but Trump expressed confidence that progress is being made.

He also dismissed reports portraying Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu negatively, affirming that Netanyahu was supportive and positive about the deal's success, noting that all involved parties have remarkably agreed on the proposed terms. This development follows indirect talks held in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, expected to last several days.

These negotiations mark a crucial step towards preventing further escalation in Gaza, with consensus on the ceasefire plan contributing to relative stability in a region historically marred by conflict and displacement. Attention remains focused on the talks’ outcomes and their impact on regional peace.
