Trump's Peace Plan for Gaza Administration: A Non-Political Technocratic Palestinian Committee Overseen by the International "Council of Peace"

The U.S. President Donald Trump's plan for ending the war in Gaza, announced by the White House on Monday, specified the proposed administrative structure for the Strip following the conflict, contingent on its acceptance by all parties.

According to the plan, Gaza would be managed under a temporary transitional government. This body would take the form of a non-political Palestinian technocratic committee, which would be responsible for the daily administration of public and municipal services for Gaza's residents.

This technocratic committee is slated to be composed of qualified Palestinians and international experts. Its work would be supervised by a new international transitional authority named the "Council of Peace."

U.S. President Donald Trump will chair this "Council of Peace," which will include other heads of state and members to be announced. Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair was named as a potential prominent member of this body.

The Washington peace plan also clarified that the process of ending the war involves a phased withdrawal of the Israeli military from the Gaza Strip. Trump told reporters at the White House: "Working with the new transitional authority in Gaza, all parties will agree to a timeline for the phased withdrawal of Israeli forces."

Trump confirmed that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had approved his plan to end the war, expressing hope that Hamas would also accept it. The U.S. President stated: "I hope we complete a peace deal, and if Hamas rejects the deal, which is always possible, they will be the only ones. Everyone else has agreed to the deal, but I have a feeling we will get a positive response."
