The UAE Ministry of Defense announced on Wednesday that its advanced air defense systems successfully intercepted 3 ballistic missiles and neutralized 121 out of 129 drones targeting the nation. In a comprehensive operational update, the Ministry revealed that since the onset of this "blatant Iranian aggression," a total of 189 ballistic missiles and 941 drones have been launched toward the UAE. The nation's multi-layered defense shield, including interceptors and fighter jets, has maintained a high success rate, destroying 175 missiles and 876 drones, effectively protecting vital infrastructure and civilian areas from catastrophic impact.

While the defense systems performed with remarkable precision, the Ministry reported that some shrapnel and impacts resulted in moderate material damage and the tragic loss of 3 lives (Pakistani, Nepali, and Bangladeshi nationals), along with 78 minor injuries among various resident nationalities. The UAE condemned these attacks as a "flagrant violation of national sovereignty and international law," reasserting its absolute right to respond to this escalation. The Ministry emphasized that its forces remain at the highest state of readiness to firmly confront any threats, prioritizing the safety of all citizens, residents, and visitors as a non-negotiable national mandate.
