UAE Air Defenses Intercept 9 Iranian Drones; MOD Reveals Toll of "Blatant Aggressions" Since Start of Conflict

The UAE Ministry of Defense (MOD) announced on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, that its air defense systems successfully intercepted 9 Iranian drones. In a comprehensive briefing, the MOD detailed the scale of threats neutralized since the start of the conflict: 357 ballistic missiles, 15 cruise missiles, and 1,815 drones have been destroyed before reaching their targets.

Human Casualties: The ministry reported that these attacks resulted in the martyrdom of 3 armed forces members and the deaths of 6 civilians (Pakistani, Nepalese, Bangladeshi, and Palestinian nationals). Additionally, 166 people from 29 different nationalities—including Emiratis, Egyptians, Sudanese, and Swedes—sustained various injuries. The MOD reaffirmed its "absolute readiness" to firmly counter any threat to the nation's sovereignty and stability.
