President Donald Trump issued a stark ultimatum to Tehran on Sunday, March 1, 2026, promising to hit Iran with "a force that has never been seen before" if it continues its massive retaliatory campaign. Following the confirmed death of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei in a joint U.S.-Israeli operation, Trump took to Truth Social, stating that the U.S. strikes would remain "uninterrupted" until his objective of regional peace is met.

The escalation turned physical as Iranian ballistic missiles and drones targeted major Gulf hubs. Blasts were reported near the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, at Kuwait International Airport, and near the U.S. 5th Fleet headquarters in Bahrain. While most projectiles were intercepted, debris caused fires and injuries in residential areas. Trump framed the chaos as the Iranian people’s "single greatest chance" to topple the regime, urging security forces to defect.
