A map released by the White House revealed the contours of the Trump administration's plan for the withdrawal of Israeli forces from the Gaza Strip, through phased stages extending from the current situation to establishing a secure zone under Israeli control along the periphery of the Strip.

The map, published concurrently with the plan's unveiling on September 29, divides the Gaza Strip into colored zones representing the current percentage of areas not under Israeli military presence, and the areas from which forces are supposed to withdraw according to three sequential phases.
Control Ratios and Phased Withdrawal Path
The plan outlines a gradual withdrawal path extending from the north of the Strip towards the south, passing through key centers (Gaza City, Khan Younis, and Rafah).
Phase | Percentage of Strip Area Withdrawn (Not Occupied) |
Current Status | Only 20% |
Phase I | 45% |
Phase II | 63% |
Phase III | 82% |
Buffer Zone and Continuous Oversight
Security Belt: The map also shows a security belt along the eastern border of the Strip with Israel, estimated to be about 18% of Gaza's area.
Permanent Control: The plan stipulates that this security presence will remain under direct Israeli control "until it is confirmed that Gaza is safe from any new armed threat," implying that security control will remain in Israeli hands for a long period.
While the map raises questions about the feasibility of implementing this plan on the ground, it reveals an American vision that charts the future of the Strip through a gradual withdrawal that maintains Israeli security oversight.
