The Institute for the Study of War (ISW) reported on Tuesday, March 25, 2026, that airstrikes targeted the Basij central unit in southern Tehran, along with IRGC headquarters in Isfahan, Tabriz, and Shahrekord. Reports also confirmed hits on research centers specializing in electronics and missiles. Iranian media noted significant damage to gas facilities in Isfahan and a pipeline linked to the Khorramshahr power station.

Amidst the escalation, President Donald Trump announced on "Truth Social" a 5-day suspension of attacks on Iranian power grids to allow for "constructive" talks regarding a comprehensive regional settlement. While the Iranian Foreign Ministry dismissed Trump’s claims as a tactic to stabilize energy prices and buy time, a senior Iranian official told "CBS" that Tehran is currently reviewing U.S. proposals received through intermediaries.
