According to the Wall Street Journal, President Donald Trump has informed aides of his willingness to conclude the military campaign in Iran shortly, potentially leaving the complex task of reopening the Strait of Hormuz for a later date. U.S. officials state that Washington has met its primary goals: crippling the Iranian Navy and degrading its missile power. Trump believes a "regime change" has occurred as he negotiates with a "more rational" new leadership in Tehran.

The 10-Day Ultimatum:
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt noted that today marks the 30th day of the conflict, aligning with Trump’s initial 4-to-6-week timeline. Trump warned on "Truth Social" that if a deal isn't reached within 10 days, the U.S. will "erase" Kharg Island and destroy all power, water, and oil infrastructure. "A deal is on the horizon," Trump said, but warned that the military is ready to unleash "unimaginable capabilities" if talks fail.
