Zelensky: A Confrontation with Forces of Darkness Between Putin and Hamas — A Call for International Mobilization for a Safer Future

In a significant development on the global stage, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky made powerful remarks comparing Russian President Vladimir Putin to the militant group Hamas, stressing that both pose grave threats to international security and peace, with Putin commanding much greater military power.

زيلينسكي: مواجهة مع قوى الظلام بين بوتين وحماس — دعوة لحشد دولي من أجل مستقبل آمن

In an interview with NBC News aired after returning from a high-stakes visit to Washington—where he failed to secure long-range Tomahawk missiles—Zelensky underscored that Putin is waging a much broader war, commanding the world’s second-largest army, and therefore the world must intensify efforts to halt Russian aggression in Ukraine.

Zelensky highlighted that the international response to crises demands greater resolve, raising his demands on U.S. President Donald Trump to exert even stronger pressure on Putin to help end the conflict in Ukraine. He stated, "Yes, and even more so, because Putin’s position is similar to Hamas, but he is much stronger," referencing Putin's vast military capabilities and the scale of his conflicts.

The Ukrainian president lamented his failure to obtain advanced weapons from the Trump administration, adding pressure on Western allies, and called for Ukraine’s involvement in any upcoming talks between Trump and Putin. According to Zelensky, "To achieve a fair and lasting peace, all parties to the tragedy must gather at the table." He concluded by reiterating, "To reach a resolution to the humanitarian catastrophe and ensure lasting peace, all affected stakeholders must come together to find a way out."

Zelensky’s message is a direct call for the international community to close ranks and enhance cooperation to confront what he considers the new forces of darkness, warning that ignoring escalating threats will only allow crises to flare and spread further.
